I brought, through a typical series of serendipitous events that seem to happen when Marie-Louise Andersson and I talk on the phone, six puppies from Sweden to Canada.  I was going to Sweden for one puppy but  people kept calling about puppies and I kept mentioning the litter in Sweden and before I really knew what was happening I had agreed to accompany the whole litter except for the girl Marie-Louise kept back here to Canada.  I helped make sure all the paperwork was correct which explains why it took a year to sort it out... paperwork is not my strong suit.  Anyway this is Ruby who is a super fantastic girl who has stolen my heart.  Ruby accompanies me to work at PawsWay where she has ingratiated herself into the good graces of everybody she meets... okay she did do the Leonberger "play with me" paw swipe close to a Chihuahua who was not amused, but aside from that she is universally adored or at least well liked.

Ruby at 14 months.One day I will have somebody help me and I might get a good picture. At least she stood still long enough for me to take the shot.
